Ten Steps to a Happier You

A a spiritual guide to self-discoveries and self-realization, while defining one's aspirations, talents, and skills that are important to you

1    REALIZE YOUR DREAM

No matter how  your dream might seem unrealistic or crazy - just make it happen.  Develop a plan to make your  dream resonate within and without.

 2    DETERMINE YOUR MISSION

To make your dream resonate - just step back for a while and reflect upon what it's your calling, what you are here for.  Such Self-reflection reveals your natural needs, abilities, attributes and gives you a vector to set goals while you're enjoying each moment.

3    SET SPECIFIC GOALS

Remember the saying; "If you don't know where you're going, how will you know  when you got there?"  To follow your dream it's reasonable to set achievable short-term and long-term goals.  If the goals are too long-term, one may lose focus and motivation.  Thus a short-term goals keep one in focus.  However, don't forget to measure progress by the skills you acquired, not by what you conquered.

4    VISUALIZE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS

If you visualize yourself reaching your goals, even engaged in their pursuit success is imminent.  The key is to actively engage in visualization.  Picture yourself as if you've already reached your goal.  Feel the energy flowing through your mind and body.

 5    GET GOING

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it now.  Boldness has genius, power and magic in it". (Goethe)

6    BE CREATIVE

Use your creative powers to become an artist of your life.  The more you are challenged the more you grow.  The best way to begin creating - is to start.  Don't underestimate your potentials.

 7    CREATE A ROUTINE

Arrange your schedule to accommodate your new work habits into your regular work time whether that means getting up earlier, or using your lunch break to get things done.  Remember, it takes the average person 21 days for the mind and body to create a new habit.  Incorporate some out-door time, time for a song, time for growing, time for a smile.

8    MAKE IT FUN

Translate your day-to-day activities into an enjoyment.  Into something you look forward to do.  Although some of the activities might not be as pleasurable at times, afterward as you think back about them you'll say, "that really was fun and I wish they would happen again.  The feeling that you not only met some prior expectation, or satisfied a need or desire but also that you have gone beyond what you have been programmed to do, and achieved something unexpected, perhaps something unimagined before, gives you a sense of novelty, a sense of accomplishment.

 9    PRACTICE, DON'T STRAIN

"Everything in moderation."  Start slowly, take small steps, and concentrate on repetitions.  Remember, give yourself a chance to reach your goals. Make them specific, achievable and short-term.  Trying to do more than you're physically, mentally, or emotionally capable of will only do more harm than good.

10    REWARD YOURSELF

Celebrate when you reach a goal. Take yourself out to dinner, buy some new clothes - treat yourself to a reward no matter how small the victory.
